It was only a few years back where the 2 button suit was considered dated, old fashioned, conservative even. Not anymore; Celebrities, musicians, models, and the youth of America have helped the 2 button suit come back to prominence. Visually there is a noticeable difference in the look of these two styles. The 3 button suit buttons higher on ones torso; leaving less of the shirt and tie to stand out. The 2-button suit buttons lower on ones torso, which leaves the shirt and tie to stand out more than they would with a 3 button style.
